### Electric Chair Sweep
The Electric Chair Sweep is a technique popularized by Eddie Bravo and the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system. This sweep can transition into a submission known as the **Electric Chair Submission**. It's typically executed from the **Rubber Guard** position, leveraging leverage and pressure to destabilize your opponent.

### Step-by-Step Instructions
1. **Establishing the Half Guard**
- Start by pulling your opponent into your half guard, securing your legs to trap one of their legs.
2. **Transition to Lockdown**
- From the half guard, use the inside leg to hook underneath your opponent's trapped leg, and reinforce the lock with your other leg from the outside, creating a 'lockdown' position.
- Push your opponent to one side slightly using your foot on their hip, creating an angle.
3. **Setting Up the Electric Chair**
- With your outside arm, reach around to underhook your opponent's far leg.
- Drive your underhooking arm through to get a deep grip behind your opponent’s knee, boosting your control.
4. **Breaking their Base**
- Simultaneously, apply pressure by scissoring your legs down and forward, elongating their trapped leg using the lockdown position.
- Use a combination of pushing with your arm and lifting with your legs to unbalance your opponent.
5. **Executing the Sweep**
- Start shifting your hips and extend your trapped leg outward, pushing your opponent over and rolling them onto their back.
- As they lose their balance, twist your torso for added leverage.
- Use momentum to come on top, ensuring you maintain top control and transitioning into a more dominant position, typically side control.
6. **Optional Submission Finish**
- If you decide to pursue the submission rather than the sweep:
- From the sweep position, continue to stretch your opponent's leg while keeping your body weight strong over the leg.
- Apply controlled pressure against your opponent's leg and hip until they tap.

### Key Points
- **Control the lockdown:** Ensure your lockdown is strong and tight to maintain the success of the sweep or transition to submission.
- **Unbalance your opponent:** Always aim to keep them off balance using the underhook and lockdown to effectively sweep or submit.
- **Maintain Pressure:** The technique relies on maintaining pressure and leverage both during the sweep and when transitioning to submissions.
